New England
Hospice staff present annual orientation and inservice
sessions to the clinical personnel of the hospitals, nursing
homes, community based residential facilities, assisted
living centers, and others that help provide care and
support to New England Hospice patients and their families.
Covering a broad range of topics, inservices address pain
and symptom management, signs of approaching death, grief
issues, emotional and spiritual concerns, advance directives
and numerous other related matters.
New England Hospice also provides emotional and spiritual
support to facility staff caregivers who often develop rich,
long-term relationships with their patients and patients’
families.
