About Us

A Superior Hospice Experience

Mission Statement

For nearly 3 decades, New England Hospice has been serving patients and families across Massachusetts facing serious illnesses, and providing support to those who have lost loved ones. We maintain that hospice is about life and the quality of time we have left.

New England Hospice typically provides 9-14 hours a week of additional care- more than twice the national average!

Our team is available 24/7/365 in order to meet the needs of our patients and families whenever necessary.

Origin Story

Back in 1997, a flight delay led to a conversation over coffee in Logan Airport.  My mother shared with me that she was working on a project to develop a hospice program that was not only exceptional in the care provided to patients but also exceptional in its responsiveness to, and understanding of, the caregivers. Before my flight was called, I had asked her if she wanted a partner, and she gave me a resounding YES.  About 1 year later she, my brother, and I had a very tiny office in Scituate MA trying to bring to life my mother’s vision.  Now, more than 27 years later, I can proudly say we have succeeded in our quest to provide a superior hospice experience to everyone we work with day in and day out.

Hospice is special to me because I know the work we do every day makes the world a little bit better or brighter through our efforts to provide spiritual, emotional, and physical comfort to our patients and their families.
